Kannada department of kristu Jayanti College is active in creating awareness regarding Kannada language and culture. Students' strength of the department has been increased during the past years considerably. Students are actively involved in literary activities and grabbed prizes in Inter -collegiate competitions.
It has been spreading the fragrance of Kannada by teaching Kannada for non-kannadigas of college. In future the department is planning to spread Kannada consciousness through seminars, literary and cultural activities.
