Mathematics department helps the students to use abstraction and logical reasoning for their intellectual and skill development.
Mathematics is the study of patterns and relationships including concepts such as quantity, structure, space, uncertainty and change. Mathematics helps to explore such concepts aiming to formulate new conjectures and establish their truth by rigorous deduction from appropriately chosen axioms and definitions.
The department has four highly qualified faculty members who are dedicated to bring out the best potential in the students who opt for the subject at undergraduate and post graduate levels.
The course curriculum is intensive and extensive at graduate level and includes main topics like Calculus and Advanced calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Groups, Rings and Fields, Vector Spaces, Vector Algebra, Vector Calculus, Real Analysis, Vector Mechanics, Numerical Analysis, Complex Analysis etc.
For post graduate the curriculum includes Discrete Mathematics, Graph Theory, Groups, Rings and Fields and Numerical Analysis.
