Kristu Jayanti College offers graduate degree in Tourism. This course is affiliated to Bangalore University. The main objective of this course is to equip student to tap the vast potentials of emerging tourism industry and to help them better placed in a corporate world.
In order to accomplish the goals and objectives of the institution, the U.G Department of Tourism conducts various programmes with an aim to enhance the quality among the students. The Department has adopted several innovative pedagogical methods and profusely uses teaching aids for classroom transaction. The students have been participating in extra curricular and co-curricular activities and have brought many laurels to the Department. The department is trying to provide modern and advanced information to students along with their University curriculum. Those who are planning to work in this industry should have some qualities like patience, helping mentality, ready to work twenty four hours in day and ability to smile against all odds. To fulfil this purpose department of Tourism is finding out certain extra curricular activities apart from our class room activities.
Apart from the University curriculum activities, last semester our department found some time for extra curricular activities like Tourism Club inauguration, World Tourism day Celebration 2007, Destination Exploration etc...
