Entrepreneurship Development Cell ( EDC)

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) was initiated with a vision to promote Entrepreneurship amongst the students. The Cell strives to transform the job seekers into job providers. The objectives of EDC are as follows:

• To create an entrepreneurial culture in the institution by conducting Entrepreneurship Motivation Camps, Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps and Entrepreneurship Development Programmes

• To foster better linkages between industries, institutions and other organizations engaged in promoting small and medium enterprises including NGOs

• To respond effectively to the emerging challenges and opportunities related to micro enterprises

The EDC of the College has collaborated with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India ( EDII), Ahmedabad, to enhance entrepreneurial skills among the students and to provide the right orientation, training and counseling for the students.

Activities

1. In collaboration with EDII, Ahmedabad, EDC of the institution offers one year PG Diploma in Entrepreneurship. There are 30 students registered for the course

2. There are two rounds of counseling with the students by the experts from EDII

3. National Level Faculty Development Programme on ‘Entrepreneurship’ was organized in association with EDII, Ahmedabad, on November 17 – 28, 2008
